¿Final Cup o Cup Final?

He visto que hay dos posibilidades de decir "Final de la Copa" (del mundo, por ejemplo). ¿Cuál es la forma más correcta de decirlo en British English? ¿Y en American English?

Final Cup (es la que más me gusta) o Cup Final (según un nativo de Inglaterra aficionado al fútbol que es profesor de Inglés, esta última es la correcta).

you are correct. The second one is the correct one. But however, it has been widely spread as the first for its easier sound. It sticks better. Unless it should be translated as an expression rather than literally. Then it would make sense in both cases, Spanish and English. For both are different languages. For one it may be correctly one way in their own language, as far as their understanding goes, and for us in Spanish, it may be incorrect for we say "Final de la copa" instead of "Copa final".

However, it is not grammar, it is expression.

Cup Final es la mejor.

Es porque no estás usando final como un adjetivo sino como un nombre. Si usas Final adjetivo debes decir "final cup", pero ya que ése no es al caso, debes decir "cup final".

The finel cup in British English, and in the American English I think the same, because is no sence cup final.
